The WWF&C Conservation Finance Group works with a growing community of conservation finance practitioners in the United States and around the world, sharing innovative finance mechanisms for funding land protection and applying them in ways that will conserve more land more effectively.
With recent federal legislation focused on climate change mitigation, there is the potential for a significant increase in funding for natural climate solutions in New England. This influx of funding has the potential to propel long-awaited, vital conservation projects. Now more than ever, conservation organizations, municipalities, landowners, and businesses need to understand the barriers and opportunities so that funding can be applied in the most efficient and impactful ways. Our funding initiatives focus on building and sharing this understanding to help garner strong public and private financial support for conservation projects from a broad spectrum of sources throughout the region.
