Wildlands and Woodlands Partners: Become one Today

The authors of the Wildlands and Woodlands Vision Report recognize that to implement such a bold conservation vision in Massachusetts, as well as in other states, requires a broad and ever-expanding group of people and organizations willing to work together to help us reach our goals. Success in this endeavor will hinge on our ability to accelerate the pace of conservation while, at the same time, deepening our society's relationship with forests, farms, and wetlands.

The people who support Wildlands and Woodlands, (W&W) live far and wide around New England as well as in other states and countries. Our partners are critical to the W&W effort. Partners work with each other to achieve more than they could on their own. They do so in a variety of ways from shifting how they currently do their own works to sponsoring innovative programs .

Partners can:

• Learn more about others' goals, programs, successes and lessons while working towards a common vision by attending Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership Meetings .
• Share resources and information through our on-line Wildlands and Woodlands workspace on www.conserveonline.org. Instructions to join site.
• Ask and answer questions in areas of interest and seek partners in new start-up projects on our moderated Wildlands and Woodlands Listserve and or participate in a conservation listserve set-up by partners in each state.
• Become listed as a member on our website and be exposed to others interested in W&W.
• Join one of the four W&W Partnership Working Groups

• Become a member of the W&W Writers and Speakers Bureau (contact blabich@highstead.net ) and participate with W&W Vision authors in telling others using various media, why conserving forests is a really good idea.

You have a very important role to play. Become a Wildlands and Woodlands Partner today and participate at whatever level you choose. For us to be successful this must be a grassroots effort so please reach out to your peers and friends and invite them to join the effort!
