The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced $10 million in funding for a proposal aimed at protecting the Long Island Sound watershed and its important natural resources. 
The $1M Regional Conservation Partnership (RCP) Innovation Fund, funded by the Jessie B. Cox Trust, is now accepting grant proposals.
Bill Labich, Regional Conservation Partnership (RCP) Network Coordinator, is scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation at the second annual Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Conservation Forum Feb. 6. Labich will offer tips and steps for creating effective, enduring partnerships that could drive collaborative conservation throughout the southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Ecoregion. 
A new book edited by Jim Levitt of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and Harvard Forest, showcases the influence and strategic role played by academic institutions in conserving land, water, and wildlife habitat internationally. 
Approximately 150 conservation professionals from across New England and eastern New York met in New Hampshire to share strategies on how to advance collaborative conservation throughout the region.

The 2014 RCP Network Gathering will bring together over 100 conservation professionals from across the region to connect, inform, and advance regional conservation partnerships (RCPs).
