Quarterly Partnership Meetings at Harvard Forest

The Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership meets quarterly at the Harvard Forest in Petersham, Massachusetts. Each 3-hour meeting includes time for the Working Groups to meet, for partners to share about current work projects and for people to report on the status of collaborative efforts. W & W Annual Meeting

Early in 2009, the Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership and Harvard Forest will be hosting the first Annual Wildlands and Woodlands Meeting for people interested in learning more about and participating in W&W activities. Information on the meeting will be announced on the front page of this website in the near future.

The Wildlands and Woodlands Website

With support from Highstead , the Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership developed this website to inform and engage those interested in finding better ways of working together in the service of bold conservation visions like Wildlands and Woodlands. This site is intended to be dynamic and responsive to the needs and interests of partners. If you have input to give, please contact the W&WP Coordinator, Bill Labich at blabich@highstead.net.

Partnership Internal Workspace on www.conserveonline.org

The Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership maintains an internal workspace on www.conserveonline.org for partners. Each workspace is essentially a 'franchise' within ConserveOnline, and is independently owned and operated. Only registered and accepted members of the Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership can access our workspace. If you are interested in joining the Partnership as a working member and would like access to resource documents, you can apply by following these simple instructions:

To join the Wildlands and Woodlands workspace:

  1. Login to ConserveOnline at www.conserveonline.org
  2. Click the "Register" tab or button at the top right-hand side.
  3. Complete the on-line form and make sure you click the "Register" tab or button at the very bottom of the page
  4. Once registered, click on the "Workspaces" link in brown letters on the banner near the top of the page. You will then see "Browse My Workspaces" and "By:…..All" Click on "All" Then click on "W"
  5. Scroll down to and click on "Wildlands and Woodlands"
  6. Click on the blue "Join the Workspace" button near the upper right corner of the page
  7. In the box on the right, write your hope for humanity or anything really, but you have to write something. Then click on "Save".
  8. You will then see a highlighted message saying that your request to join the workspace has been sent to the manager, which is Bill Labich, Highstead, at blabich@highstead.net.
  9. I'll get an email, go to the site, and accept you as a member.
  10. Once registered and accepted to the workspace, each time you login and then click on "Workspaces" a link to the Wildlands and Woodlands workspace will appear within a box titled, "Browse My Workspace".

Wildlands and Woodlands Writers and Speakers Bureau

The W&W Writers and Speakers Bureau is comprised of people interested in using various media to inform others from diverse audiences about Wildlands and Woodlands and to create a bigger team for the environment. We are collectively engaged in developing templates in a number of media for others to use including powerpoints, newspaper op-eds, newsletter articles, and magazine articles. If you have an audience that you believe is interested in learning more about Wildlands and Woodlands we will likely have a writer or a speaker to help you. On the other hand, if you are a writer or someone who enjoys public speaking and want to help achieve Wildlands and Woodlands , please fill in a request . We'd love to have you be part of our bureau!
