Mission Statement
Forests provide vital products and environmental services including clean air and water, climate change mitigation, protection of biodiversity, wildlife habitat, diverse recreational opportunities, and strong local economies through tourism and land-based industries. Therefore, organizations and individuals in the Wildlands and Woodlands Partnership work together to advocate for the long-term conservation of half of all remaining forested landscapes as both large wildlands managed so that natural processes dominate and woodlands where sustainable forestry is practiced. Together we collaborate at all levels with an expanding community of conservation-minded landowners and other citizens to promote the adoption of innovative strategies and practices that protect and enhance the ecological and economic values of our land.
